Default Dealer Installed Alarm system

2 months ago I bought my 94 T/A GT. Came with a very loud annoying chirp sounding alarm. Come to find out that it was a dealer installed option. I had to disconnect the battery and remove the alternator to get the valve cover off so I could adjust my roller rockers. Got them adjusted and hooked everything back up, the security light was flashing extremely fast. Went to start my car, nothing. Does anyone have experience with these systems? Looking to just completely remove it from the car at little to no cost. Thanks in advance.

Can someone tell me what purposes these 4 wires serve?

Are you talking as in Chevy dealers? I haven't heard of OEM dealers installing factory alarm options after the fact, but I could be wrong.

I've never heard of a T/A GT either....

What you have there looks to be a shock sensor. If so, that's a screwy place to put it.....so I very well may be wrong on what it is.....does it have any part numbers on it you can google?

My '96 came with the OEM alarm system option. The shock sensor is mounted in the trunk in the right rear fender well close to where he spare tire would sit.

Edit: Wow that does look to be a GM sticker on it.

Yes it's a GM Goodwrench vss-300 alarm. Looked through the paperwork that came with car and it had a warranty from what used to be Ernie Miller Pontiac-GMC in Tulsa, OK. It's now Marc Miller Cadillac. Anyways, it is indeed a dealer installed option. They installed these because I think the earlier LT1 birds did not come with an alarm system, only keyless entry. Working out the kinks with the system and I think I have it figured out. And it is a Trans Am GT. The GT package is pretty much the equivalent to the WS6 package, It was also exclusive for '94 birds I believe.

That's interesting.

I also noticed that I mentioned Chevy when I should have said Pontiac. LoL, I'm sure that is heresy in some circles.
