Nastiest Lt1 in existence, at the shootout today.

Tytech Camaro has been 195 at the 1000' as per data logging. Also, I know for a fact that LTX shootout officials told him to ease off because other racers complained and said they won't waste their time showing up.

I completely forgot about this thread. Still love that car, but for probably the last 5 times he's brought it to the track, it's been killing head gaskets. Not sure if he's using 1/2 inch studs or not, but if he's not.... it's probably time.

The car is without question freakishly fast, but to be fair, this particular car/situation imo is not a "cubic dollar always wins" type of scenario. The man is using fairly ordinary parts to get the work done, its not like he's using a 20k billet block accompanied by all of the latest and greatest parts available to him. It's a small CI Lt1 car that is just well thought out, and I suspect is running really high compression.

From what I've seen it appears dude is a huge sand bagger. I admire the **** out of him.

Guaranteed that car has some cubic dollars in it to go 7's reliably in the quarter mile at that weight....hell at any weight it still has to make the power. The car is an awesome build but as with all builds you can only have 2 out of three (cheap, fast, reliable). I say if you spend the money and time building a combo, you should be able to use it. The car scene has always been like that is all the car circles I have been in throughout the years. The only exceptions are the guys that have the skills to do most of the work themselves but it still isn't budget by most folks standards.
I love the Tytech camaro and would love to check it out in person. I bet it is an awesome street car that everyone would love to build.

And? I thought it was always advertised as everybody welcome and it's not so much about racing for a bronzed opti as it is having fun with the f-body brohs. You have to admit how laughable and silly it is to have the children screaming how they think it's not fair and threatening to boycott the event because someone showed up who was far faster.

The car is not NHRA legal AFAIK for the full potential it has, so he is a sandbagging son of a bitch.

I believe that event is a private rental, might be why he was allowed to compete. I can't wait for him to figure out the gasket issue, so I can see it run through the traps at 195+ mph. What's just as impressive is, it doesn't end up in the sandtrap after each pass. It doesn't appear to have carbon brakes, so I dunno how on earth he's stopping the thing. I'm only running 140 and I have to be on the brakes heavy, and have to use the last turnoff in my ole f body.

Guess I had better get back to being cynical and sarcastic on here to earn my pink SN back
