Manley Valve Springs & Jesel Rockers
Question --- Would installing high-end Manley valve springs and Jesel rockers in my 383 stroker provide any additional power (improved ETs)? The engine seems to be experiencing some valve float when it hits 6000 rpms, but since it has a forged bottom end and higher compression I think it can spin higher with some more power. My guess is that the middle-of-the-road Trick Flow valve train components may be holding it back. What do you guys think?

The last components you want to skimp out on is your valvetrain. Running higher quality parts will allow for better valve control so yes, it could yield more power because you may be able to take full advantage of the power curve. Thing is, you want to make sure whatever springs you run are the correct springs for your cam profile. What is your setup?

SS RRR --- I have a 383 stroker running 11.25 compression. The cylinder heads are from Trick Flow (https://www.trickflow.com/parts/tfs-k304-430-400) and lightly modified by Lloyd Elliott. Bottom end consists of Callies Dragon Slayer crank, Mahle pistons and rods. Cam specs are 235 / 243, .571" / .589", 110 LSA. Hope this helps.

Jessels are nice, but not really needed if under 7000 rpm, sounds more like the springs that came with the trick flow heads are not up to the task, and asking Lloyd for a spring recommendation should be all you need.
