Default LT and borla combo?

anybody have this combo and gets a real loud rasp noise at certain times, usually around 2500 to 3000 rpm. i love what it sounds like except for when it gets this loud rasp at certain times.

Just ad another resonator on the I-Pipe and you should be fine. Do you have a cat on your car? If you don't, get one.

Have had this combo on multiple cars. What's interesting is that the single cat borla sounded twice as deep and intense as the dual cat borla I had. I thought it was a fluke until I sold the single cat borla to this chick that has a dual cat car. It completely transformed the sound of her car and had that same depth like it had on mine. I haven't had any rasp tho as LT1's aren't known for being raspy

Some people like rasp. I for one, hate it. I can't stand it. I personally don't think it sounds good, but when I see a kid driving an F-Body that sounds really raspy I immediately think "Wow, there's a kid who knows nothing about how to build a good-sounding exhaust."

Then again, that's just me being a huge ******* with a big holier-than-thou complex.

Been there done that, when I was stock I tried the Dynatech cones..blah didn't do squat, I have JetHots, 3"Y, no CATs & open Borla. Simply put the Borla sounded good until I went longtubed with no cats, it sounded like a stock LS1 with no CATs & SLP Loudmouth, I hated the rasp. I was two weeks away from selling the Borla and ended up rebuilding my block, monster cam/valvetrain, etc & fell in love with it again, it has the deep Borla tone again.

My XR1 is really deep in the low RPM's and then when you open it up, it sounds like a NASCAR. I can't wait to hear what it sounds like with this bigger cam.
