Hi guys just finished a cam install on my lt1...having an issue tho. After I finished the install I went to fire the car up and the motor would crank and fired for a split second then died. Now the motor will just crank I am getting fuel an spark. Could I have installed the cam off? I originally lined up the dots crank dot at 12 o'clock and cam gear at 6 o'clock and installed the timming chain. I'm wondering could I have installed the cam 180 degrees off?

 

are you sure you got the opti lined up right on the dowel pin of cam?

is it backfiring while trying to start?
