Anyone have pictures of how they mounted a standard Elite Engineering can on a LT1 motor? Only place I see space is on drivers side and maybe use the studs that hold the ICM...
Or weld a bracket to the valve cover...I have a spare set of VC's.
Just got my Elite X2 Ultra can in today. Beautiful piece, but huge. I am probably going to mount it on the drivers side next to the radiator where all the ABS used to be. I have ti see how my intercooler piping is going to route first. I may just end up mounting it to my HVAC delete panel. Once I get it installed I will post pics. Let me know how yours turns out. Thanks Rob. I haven't had time to mess with it. Friend of mine mentioned that the LS1 bracket works with slight modification...which I didn't know until after I ordered the can only.
Maybe I'll buy just the bracket then modify accordingly.
Woof. After viewing their products, I think I will make a Husky one like in that older thread! Ouch! Theirs and the Norris can both look awesome but seems pretty expensive.

Camar0corey...I had the husky setup, but I was emptying it too often and this one is a nicely machined piece with sealing o-ring etc. Great craftsmanship and they work.

How often are we talking? I'm especially wondering as I read on Norris' website that boosted applications can benefit from two... so now I have on my radar to at least do one and possibly two when I put that other setup into my car with the Procharger.
Frequency of emptying the can will depend on your specific motor and efficiency of the can itself. I would do it once a week or every 2 weeks. This would be with the Husky can 1/2 full. It "worked" but there are too many variables to figure out how much better the new can will work. I don't have the time to do back to back testing with both setups doing the exact same driving route in same temperatures etc.
Strictly from an engineering standpoint, a catch can is not rocket science...but I can tell you the EE can will work better than the Husky setup.
For MY car DD 5 miles to and from work 5 days a week...95 miles later. This is a side effect of the car not getting to operating temp every time going to work:
Since that picture I added some steel wool inside to help condense the vapors. Did it work? Sure. Will the EE can work better..meaning condense more vapors into oil given the same volume of vapor passed through it? I'd bet so.
