1994 LT1 Cheyenne dyno run After doing my LT1/T56 swap and stuffed my rearend with a 4.11 posi me and my friend went to a dyno day in Dover,TN and the truck did pretty good for a few bolt ons and custom exhaust. |
Well what did it make? |
I put it in the video description but it made 296rwhp and 328rwtq with the usual bolt ons. |
I got a plan to see if I put a set of 1.6 rockers and a ATI balancer will send it past the 300rwhp mark. |
The 1.6 rr will push you over the 300 mark if you are at 296 now. Not only do i recommend 1.6 rr I also like to swap to 7/16 studs,3/8 guide plates, chromolly pushrods and new valvesprings.csome say its overkill but its worth it. |

Do it youll love it on that truck wiht the 6 spd You can stay on budget, port the stockers with same valves, cleanup the intake a bit add a reasonable (not big) cam, about any header youll love it. |

Well I found that Lingenfelter has some ported heads for $900 so I may try them later after the stroker kit and I found Lingenfelter has a .566 lift I may try during the short block rebuild. |

What cam is it? The 211/219? If you do that combo with their CNC heads and exhaust to accommodate you should be looking at around 370rwhp, and if you do a stroker you'll be looking at a gaggle of torque. That cam in that truck will make it a hoot to drive. However if you are wanting some lope in your idle you'll want to consider a more aggressive cam profile. |

It's the .219/.219 duration .560/.560 lift cam The Comp Cams 503 is the minimum cam I'd use if the CR is less than 11.5:1. With well ported heads (let stipulate that the Lingenfelters are well ported), the 503 in a stroker can reach the 400hp range, be easily tuned, and provide great drivability. KW |

If not the dyno then the track times and mph back it up. |
Well if I don't go LPE cam I'll go with the biggest AI cam for stock long blocks. Ai 230 / 238 - .566" / .566" - 110 LSA An excellent choice for 3.73-4.10 geared M6 cars. Typically makes peak power at 6200-6400rpm in stock LT1 long blocks. A4 cars need 3.73 gearing & a minimum 3400 rpm converter. |
That may be a pretty damn good choice as well. If paired with LPE heads, they ain't no slouch! |
I forgot the I still haven't had the ecm dyno tune yet either I just had my tuner do a tune at his home for a 93 octane and the bolt ons that I have so there might be a few horses he could squeeze out of it when I have that done. |
I am a HUGE fan of the LPE 211/219 cam. It provides smooth power across the board. This cam is underestimated by many but always proves itself. |

I'm probably going to save some of the extra money for AFR 195cc heads, 380ci, custom Lunati cam, and either a ported stock intake or a TPIS Super Ram. |
