Does the coolant recovery tank hold pressure? Im doing a complete coolant flush / hose replacement on the system and any parts that are old. The cap to the tank looks old and worn so considering replacing it (if needed). Not sure if the cap holds pressure in the tank since it appears to have vent holes on the top of it. I know the coolant system holds 18 psi and the cap to the radiator allows coolant to overflow into the tank and back into the system as needed. My car is a 94 z28. Thanks for any help and advice given.
