T56 rebuild anybody have any insight on rebuilding the t56 out of a 97 z28.
After years of hard abuse and numerous second gear rubber burnouts with it, it decided today that 2nd gear was no longer required haha.
It shifts through all all the gears fine still, everything else works, no grinding while in 2nd gear. Feels like it's shifting, but nothing there.
Might attempt to rebuild it myself.
was just curious on rebuild kits and any need to know information for a first time transmission rebuild.

Been a long time since I had one apart,, there are several special jaws to use with the press for some of the disassembly IIRC.. And attempting to substitute can chip gears if your not careful.
