What is the normal temperature that a 95 lt1 should operate at

Mine usually stays around 185º but it's a 6-speed car, automatics will run hotter due to running transmission fluid through the radiator. The hottest mine will get in stop and go is 210º. This is in hot and muggy Alabama too.

thanks mine gets up to 210 with a 180 thermostat just makes me nervous

180-210º is considered normal operating range for most modern engines, even up to 220-230º is ok. Only once you get to 240º should you really start worrying and shut it down if you can't get it to cool off.
