Steam pipe question

Steam pipe question I deleted my heat and swapped to an aluminum radiator. The new radiator does not have a provision to hook the hose up from the Steam pipe. I would like to route the Steam pipe hose right into the water pump.
I removed all the factory "barbs" from the water pump, that the heater hoses hooked to. and then tapped them for pipe plugs. I was considering putting a pushlock style fitting in one of them and running the Steam tube hose to that. I know I will need to tap into a "hot side" of my water pump, which I'm not sure how to identify.
Do you guys see any problems with routing it like this? anybody done a similar set up and/or had any problems?
