You can also convert it to a vented system. I've gotten a couple of the vacuum hose/valve sets for vented opti from the boneyard and have a new one on my 94 M6. I just modded the cap and isolator (middle plastic section between cap and aluminum body). And poke a hole in the intake elbow. Intake elbow end provides fresh air, vacuum from driver's side of the intake (T off of the EGR vacuum port). Plug the 3 weep holes on the bottom with a little RTV.

why would he NOT want a vented...., just get a T piece vacuum hose conector and make your self, loot at any 94 up LT1 to see where the hose goes.

AIR delete is one of the ''free mods" you can do on a LT1, while still having a vented opti. Look it up on shbox. I just installed a T on one of my vacuum hose

Here's a visual aid:
On my 94 cars the one labeled "To Optispark" isn't there or just has a metal plug, can't remember which. You can use that one if you have the barbed fitting or put a T where the "To EGR Solenoid" goes. In your case, I bet this one is just capped. For those wanting to keep EGR this becomes a T. For those deleting or without, an elbow to the opti harness works, I prefer an elbow because it lowers the possibility of a kink that's possible if connected like in the photo.
