Yes they do make 5/16" 12 point header bolts. I used polished stainless steel ones from ARP on one of my cars. I'd recommend just using a 5/16" 6 point instead though. I had to grind down the wrench so much to clear around the primary tubes that using an open end wrench on a 6 point would've been much easier.
Sure there is. I've had my ARP's for many years, and they clear my Kooks primaries. I also use one of these box wrenches, it gives more leverage and clears the headers easily.
Just for my own curiosity, I could just use a plain-jane box-end, right?

Those are the same bolts I used and they are very nice. It's great that the Kooks have enough clearance around the primaries, that is something to keep in mind for the future. Unfortunately my Hooker longtubes did not have enough clearance without me grinding down the edges of the box wrench to get them on the bolts. Which I did with the bench grinder. Since then I've used the same ARP bolts but with a 6 point head on the multiple header jobs I've done since then.

I was going to make the same comment about the hooker's I have on my car. There is nowhere enough room to get a 12pt on some if not most of the bolts. The 6pt worked but it was a combination of long & stubby wrenches to get the angles i need to work with, I'll be grinding and bending a wrench in the near future to have on hand to snug em up since the genI swap is almost done and running.
The nice thing about the tool I posted is that the head is slimmer than a standard 12pt box wrench, which is why it clears so well. A standard combo wrench barely worked, and it was too short to get any leverage. It was well worth the money for me.

I used the ARP 1" stainless steel header bolts with a 5/16 12pt head for this reason.....they are awesome header bolts. Zero trouble with any backing out in over 5 years.
