Default Need some advice?

Okay guys so I installed my new motor and transmission and got to the point where I was ready to start it. I got in turned the key and nothing. Headlights and everything turned on I could hear the fuel pump kick on but it wouldn't crank. We decided to take a break and grab some dinner after dinner I picked up my spare key just in case it was a chip issue. Got back put the new key in the ignition with the battery disconnected and took it back out. Went to hook up the battery and the car started! Now I have always had that issue where the car would start when hooking up the battery I thought it was due to the remote start that was installed previously before I owned it. But we didn't change or do anything other than the new key and after that I tried the old key and it worked. My interior lights are also going off when the key is in the ignition, looks like an alarm is going off. Anyone have any idea where I should start looking? I was going to go under the driver side dash to see if there is a brain box there for the alarm.

First place to look is the aftermarket alarm/remote start system

There may be a "intermittent" splice on one, or more, of the wires now connected to the alarm

Those aftermarket remote starters are nothing but problems.. Pull off the cover under the steering wheel, look for the brain, trace it’s wires, and start disconnecting it..

I'm guessing it's the clear box that is zip tied?

I found it tucked up next the the vent. It's a viper alarm system.

Found two blown fuses for the alarm system tucked up under the dash.. replaced the fuses and fixed all my issues. Now I have some time to research how to remove it out of the car..

The good alarms will have a switch that sets it off if the hood is open. I had an alarm system in my car I was lucky when I cut it out since the previous owner took the brain box out for me. I would make sure it isn't tapped into your injectors or spark. I also noticed my alarm system had two push buttons hidden under the dash, for what I have no clue.
