New Clutch Advise
Im looking at the competition clutch stage 2.5 or 3.
Resurface the stock flywheel? Should i get a specific thrust bearing or anything else while everything is apart?
I put 9,800 miles on my top end rebuild this year. Making about 325rwhp. Best we could get was a 13.51 @ 107mph in 80 degree heat. Most 60 fts were 2.1-2.2 with the stock clutch and 342 gears. I also had M/T drag radials on. 1st gear felt so tall at launch, felt like i was losing half a second right off the bat. Hoping for low-low 13s at around 108-110 with new clutch and cooler weather. Also thinking of 390 gears instead of my 342's. Car is 99% street driven but sees the strip once in the spring and once in the fall.

Do the pilot bearing (I put in a bushing) and rear main seal while the transmission is out.
Thanks SSRRR, prob resurface stock flywheel and i will look into the gm thrust bearing. This will be my first. Clutch install.

I had the CC 2.5. for your HP it will be fine. 383 pushing 400 to the wheels, no.
Don't go with a lightweight FW if you street or drag race your car. Typically a FW can be resurfaced 2-3 times depending on how much they tale off each time. Stock Replacement FW's though are pretty cheap
