That test just further proves what I said several years ago from my prior testing. The TPI adds midrange, not so much low-end. The dual plane had the best low speed output of the test. Also the larger, wider LSA cam sacrificed alot of low-speed torque for very little additional HP up top. He should have paired the smaller cam with the TPI. Would have gotten it up over 300 ft/lbs. Also 1-5/8" to 2" to 2.5" tri-y headers probably would have gained about 8-10% in torque. Likely pushing the torque into the 320-330 ft/lbs range. I think he will also see a nice power bump with the milled LT1 aluminum heads if they are ported. Just needs to use the thinner B-car LT1 head gaskets. Then again a 212/218 or 218/224 cam on a 106 LSA and 102 ICL with about .450-.480 lift would stomp a mudhole in the cams tested so far as far as torque goes.

I would also love to see a set of Rhoads V-Max lifters tested with either of those cams. Knock 15-20° of duration off at lower rpm that comes back in the 3,500-4,000 rpm range. My 11:1 383 gained 15 psi of cranking compression (from 195 to 210 psi) with rhoads lifters adjusted with a hot engine with a 0.020" feeler gauge between the rocker arm and valve tip. 0.020" adjustment provides maximum duration and lift reduction at low rpm. I run a 218/228 @ .050 on a 108 LSA and it idles at 650 with 19 in/hg and makes 25 in/hg at 3,000 rpm with no load.
