As much as you want, but the timing will suffer lol. Adding meth will help and then you can run decent boost... but its not worth running high boost and crap timing on straight 91.

On my stock bottom end LS3 I am 10.8:1 SCR and run 16psi on 93 + meth

Keep timing low, feed it fuel and don't let it rattle.

I run 18* in my setup with 15psi on a ~9.5scr

I also agree 100% on putting a different gear in it and overbuilding fuel setups.

The 640 car was miserable to drive with the 4.10s, now with the 3.73s it isn't bad but I'd go 3.42s personally, but it's not mine.

And I'm with Shownomercy, you'll want more...always...

No it was ordered through another company. Apparently it’s just going into powder coating and will be shipping tomorrow 🙏🙏

It won't be a problem but you could get away with something smaller at 8psi. I used a DSM valve at 10psi.

Hey guys,

I bought a electrical boost/vacuum autometer cobalt gauge (6159). I just want to confirm that the provided 3 bar MAP sensor (2249) can be a direct replacement for my LT1 24x ignition system MAP sensor? Just want to make sure before I install it!

Thanks,
Geeg.

I would imagine you will need to run two sensors. One for gauge and one for PCM.

Either case, if you want a 2/3 BAR map you will need to repin the factory harness, the positive atm sensors are a different connector.

Hey guys,

Here’s a bit of an update:

So it’s been a long process, I got the car up and running thanks to Arun from CCperormance here in Canada. I was talking to him and he was explaining the major power loss from my intercooler and piping set up (twins). So I ended up replacing all the piping and did a eBay FMIC. I hacked out the front bumper of my TA with hopes to grab some extra HP. I purchased a twin disk McLeod clutch, that’s another story/thread. So basically all that’s left for my build, and it’s still in the air is meth system. What’s a good straight forward system to get? I’m assuming a single nozzle kit will be sufficient even if I bump my boost? Haven’t see any install videos or threads but there must be something out there! I would like to just use my windshield washer container!!

What makes you so certain you need a meth system?

I have a devilsown pump in my trunk with one of their tanks. It would be triggered by my boost controller at I think 5 or 10 psi, all on or all off kinda simple.
http://www.alcohol-injection.com/en/...tion-pump.html

Use a 4an SS braided line to run up front to a nozzle from them as well. I believe its like a 14lph or something stupid nozzle size.

All that being said, I never ended up needing it cause my tuner likes to tune without any meth being required. If your tuner wants a meth setup on your car, ask them what controller they like best working with, some are better than others in terms of tuning for.

(and please do not use the meth to supplement fueling up top)

Well my tuner semi suggested it. I wouldn’t say he’s a known Lt1 tuner though as much as an LS tuner. He sells the AEM kits so I am assuming that’s what would want me to run! I guess I’ll talk with him. Maybe leave it off for this year.

Hey guys, I have some quick questions about my set up. See original post for specifics. I am running the 12 rib 7.65” crank pulley and the 4.50” blower pulley. I spun the car up to 6,000 rpm today and only saw 5lbs of boost. I was hoping for at least 8lbs. I ended up putting a FMIC with aluminum piping on it and all T boltclamps, which are all tight. As far as the belt, I believe it’s set upright and tight enough, I sent Bob and Brute Soeed a video of me pulling on the belt and he thought it seemed ok as well. Is my blower pulley to big to be getting 8lbs maybe?

I have the Devils own Pump and Dual Nozzles. I believe 2 smaller nozzles is better than one big. I use the windshield washer tank as the reservoir. I think of Meth as insurance with no downside, so I would always run meth.

Any reason why you are stopping at 6k?

Will likely pick up a lot more power from 6k to 6500rpm and be closer to 8psi.

It seemed to have flattened out prior to hitting 6,000 so I didn’t bother taking it up to 6400.

If it flat lined I'd say belt slip. Boost should rise with RPM.

I don't think so. Clutch slip would be your slip between the engine and rear tires. The engine is still revving higher and is mechanically attached to the blower.
