I Know this maybe a little old. But if your auto and running 4.11 gears your loosing out. I have had3.23 since I bought the car new. been stock and supercharged and stroker and supercharged. You need to load the motor to get your boost up quick. With low gears you aren't making to motor work like it should to create boost. And if stroker is worse yet cause they just are just torque monsters off the line anyways. Need a load period to make boost work, unless your in a big tire car where your tires are so big you need to make up for that..... That is a different case all together!

Hey guys,

sorry for the long delay. It’s been a long summer between minor upgrades on the car, fouled plugs and meeting up with my tuner here in Canada. I finally got the car to the dyno last night. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Car ran a 446/471 on the dyno. I’ve confirmed 10lbs of boost at the engine and it seemed to run good up until 4500ish RPM then would die off.

Any suggestions? I did talk to Lloyd Elliot a while back and he said my springs (Crane 99893 Double Valve Springs) likely weren’t going to stand up which will make the valves float. Which by what the dyno sheet shows, could be a possibility.

He suggested running the Lunati 73925K5 Dbl valve spring kit. Set them to 165-170 seat pressure for 10lbs of boost. Now the next thing is actually changing this? Can it be done with the heads on the car? I really don’t feel like pulling the engine again!!

Any help or experience is greatly appreciated!

thanksi

Yes it can be done, but its gonna be a bear to do. Pending how cluttered your engine bay is, yanking heads off may be easier and safer.

Hey guys,

its been a long process but I finally got my car to a reputable tuner in the area, whom generally tunes mostly LS cars.

Anyways I was a bit upset to say the least with my numbers ... check out the first post for my specs on the set up.

car has a 7.65/4.00” Pulley system and the gauge showed 10psi of boost at max RPM.

With 20 degrees of timing it hit 520/480ish hp and tq.

is there anything else that you guys see that’s possibly restricting me? He said my MAF is basically maxed out and wasn’t sure about the factory LT1 intake side of the Procharger possibly restricting the set up. But I figured 10psi at the engine with my pulleys and that’s what it showed, so I’m guessing it’s getting the air.

He was planning on doing some more pulls (completed 5) but then my accessory bracket broke which then I was unable to finish.

He also mentioned my car possibly is not the 10.5:1 I thought it was.
