which rockers are these?
Anybody know what these are? Found them on the local CL and he wants $150. He only knows that they are 1.6rr, and doesn't remember the brand. They look like self aligning but figured I'd ask you guys.
You think they are worth picking up for $150? My current rockers got trashing when the timing chain broke. The only thing holding me back from getting back on the road is the rockers.
Personally I would not. I refuse to buy used valvetrain parts, but that's just me. You never know once you get them if the cups are trashed or the roller bearings are flattened/excessive play or pitted or the trunions catch and/or have extra play, or all the above...
GM had bow tie....Crane made them
If these have no markings they are "low rent"
do not cheap out on ANY valve train part. If they fail the damage will be considerably more $ to fix the damage than the $150 you would save buying these vs Comps
Scorpion are likely the cheaper branded ones...I would not run those though

I ended up buying these rockers last night. They do have the bowtie on the with 1.6 stamped under the bowtie. They are extremely clean and look to be in excellent shape. I took a chance because I'm cheap. lol.
if they have the bow tie, they are Crane. Good RR
Since they are used inspect each roller tip and trunion for free movement
depending on the retainers for whatever springs you use, confirm there is no contact with the self aligning washers of the RR

Not sure about these, but ensure there is clearance under the rocker body so it doesn't make contact with the rocker stud. If it does you'll need to use tapered rocker studs.
