Fuel for Procharged LT1
Hey guys,
I posted in my last thread my current build. 355 forged AFR Heads etc etc. Currently it makes 400 rwhp. I’m adding 8psi of boost to the motor. Hoping to get around 550rwhp. Now I currently installed the Walbro GSS340 (340lph) pump. I was informed that it would supply the engine with no issues. I did have to hack up the bucket to get the part to fit. Either way, has anyone experienced this pump with similar rwhp. I don’t know if something as minor as the racetronix Hotwire kit will be sufficient or do I even need to bother doing that? Online lifter pump?
I realize down the road I might want more boost but for this specific set up now I am curious.
Thanks for the help!

I have installed Walbro 255lph pumps with and without the optional wire harness for use with low-boost procharger set ups. The 340 lph pump should be more than sufficient for your horsepower goals. Installing the wire harness will add to peace of mind.
What injectors are you switching to?

That’s only a 255 lph pump. You’ll probably want something like an aem 320 lph or a Walbro 465. The Hotwire kit will help in pretty much all cases

With my setup, I changed to an LS style fuel tank and went with the squash drop-in dual Walbro 450lph. I may max those out soon, but that will still allow me to run a sump and add an additional Magna Fuel 750 if the dual 450s cant keep up.
I also have some ID1300s for sale if your interested.
