Default Fixing the coolant crossover line on a 94 Camaro z28 LT1

Hey guys! I was wondering if I could just place a rubber hose over the coolant crossover line located at the back of the heads because I had to cut it to remove the heads since the banjo bolts were messed up. Can I just put a rubber hose over the cut part and clamp it down??

That would be a leak waiting to happen if it didn't happen right away. You will want to buy a new crossover pipe and banjo boats/gaskets or use AN hose. There are some threads on AN crossover tubes if you do a search.

You could, but it's quite possible it could lead to steam pockets and hot spots. As stated there are places that do sell the tubes and bolts as well as threads here on how to make your own.

Replace it. There are a few threads on here to show how to replace with an fittings and braided line. Or find a factory one. I believe you can still buy from the dealer. I bought new gaskets and bolts from the dealer not long ago.

I think I posted in anther thread you started. As stated, you could do that. I have done it in the past. But if you can get a new steam pipe, then do it for peace of mind.
