Default Build suggestions

So since there are only a couple of weeks left before it gets nice out I was wanting to do some things to my car. I currently have full bolts on but I'm wanting to put a cam in my stock motor now till I decide what I really want to do with my short block.
so I have a new cc503 cam sitting around but I've been debating on whether or not to put that cam in or do go the more sleeper route with either crane 227 or lpe 211/219 or possible a sleeper cam from Lloyd.
Now if I go with a sleeper cam will I see much of a hp gain over my stock setup with 1.7 rockers?
Also I'm running Howard's 98215 sprints with my 1.7 rockers which don't have many miles on them will they be able to handle any of the cams I mentioned above?
if you have any experiences the cams I mentioned let me know if you liked them or not.

And its an A4 car.

with 1.7 RR the LPE will be .634 lift on the exhaust side...your Howard springs are good to .640..so that cam is a no with 1.7RR. 1.5 or 6 the LPE would work

The crane and Comp cams will work with 1.7 and the Howard springs

I assume you did pull the damper spring from the Howards..

I suspect the Crane 227 would give a little more low end TQ over the 503

Lloyd Elliott makes a sleeper cam "similar" to the 227

I really enjoyed the CC503 back when I had my '97 SS. I used Comp magnum 1.6 rockers and crane dual valve springs. I don't like sleeper cams, I want the chop.
