Code 16 with shorted pcm?

Code 16 with shorted pcm? Drove the car the other night and it started running super lean and then shut off. Couldn't get it started again. Tested what I could while waiting on the tow truck. After getting home I broke out the repair manual and started my diag. Ive got spark but no injectors. Battery voltage to all the injectors too. Started looking at the opti until I saw this little tip in the repair manual. Said to check if the low and high resolution inputs from the opti were shorted. And they are. Opti is good. Tested the wiring, good there too. The pcm has a internal short between b2 and b20.
Anybody ever see or have this happen. Going right now to pick up a pcm from a friend to test

So, Saturday night I got the loaner pcm and put my tune in it. Car fired right up and is running fine.
on a side note. The repair manual has pretty much confused the crap out of me. It says to make sure the low and high resolution circuits are not shorted together. I tested the wiring, good there. Tested the old pcm and I have continuity across b2 and b20. So I assumed they were shorted together in the pcm.
then got the spare loaner pcm and tested it too with the same results across b2 and b20. I think it's obvious the pcm was the problem but maybe not actually the high and low resolution circuits.
