No vid yet but will post one up once I get a tune in the Holley. I’m want to hit 800-900. We shall see if I make it. That is a very similar cam and I would expect it to sound similar. It took me quite a bit of time to get mine back together after making several changes along the way. Decided to just gut it and make it a drag car. Strange Drag Brakes in the front and rear. Corbeau Seats. All factory wiring is gone. Running all Autometer Gauges. Still have some work to do on wiring management in the engine bay too.

Sounds sweet Scott. Ramps up quick too. Still have yet to start mine but that's given me motivation in the coming days weeks to get it running.

That's a hell of a setup man, 800rwhp+ should be doable...looking forward to seeing some videos of it running etc. I'm not familiar with that intake, is it custom?

Thanks! I was pretty impressed with the throttle response. Still need to do tuning but finally getting somewhere. The guy I had help me do tuning for the Holley knows his stuff and is willing to give you a tutorial of how everything works. Hopefully you can get yours ups and running soon! That engine bay and motor look pretty great there!

I hope it will be doable. Time will tell for sure. I run a single plane intake and that is just he hat on it. I'll put more videos up once i have more too.

Thanks! I plan to bust it off with in the next week. Only reason I haven't done it sooner is I've got to sort the new style kooks y pipe out as it doesn't fit for jack so I'm gonna hack it up and get it on. Car will be too loud to start without it to listen for any issues I could have if I've missed something.

You’re welcome! I’m trying to figure out my exhaust too. Kooks headers and their y pipe to a bullet style muffler that dumps under the car. It’s loud as all heck at idle, which I don’t mind but I know it’s going to be insane actually doing 6000rpm. I need to look into options for that.

So the new Kooks y-pipe does not fit well? I like the redesign and was thinking about getting it.

For me not remotely close. Has to be cut in several places to make work. I thought they sent me an LS version as it is that bad. Bad thing is I had the original y pipe and compared them before selling it and it LOOKED identical in terms pipe placement from the collectors to the I pipe.. Still scratching my head over that one.

Sorry Scott not meant to hijack your thread

All good. No worries at all.

I was was thinking of ditching the y-pipe and just running mufflers straight off the headers and a turn down. Problem is I do have a wideband but dont really need it since I have two O2’s for my ecu and have 3 point SFC limits available space under the car.

I wish I could do exactly that but I have the car slammed to the ground it would be an issue unless I went oval piping for the extra clearance. I still may end up doing that for the y pipe if I am not happy with Kooks after modifying it. My SFC KBDD are kind part of the problem I think at least on the driver side...but there's a will then there's a way. lol

Since i put viking coil overs on the front and rear i have noticed the same on mine. I need to be cautious how low i adjust it or something is going to hit. My drivers side is the issue for me as well. My fuel lines run down that way and i'm limited on options for running them but have found a way to make it work for now. I'll probably revist that this winter.

I'm on Ground Control Coil overs. I ran my fuel line parallel to the drivers door right under and through the wheel well cover. Drilled 2" diameter holes as I y'd off the block 2 -8 AN lines to both fuel rails then a single -6 AN return line back down and ran that line back down in the original hard line configuration.

Thanks for the pics there. That’s similar to how I ran mine. I’ll have to revisit them and see how I can make them more snug like that. That looks pretty good and hidden.

yeah you can't see it at all even though in the one pic it looks like it's hanging. Does that in full droop that's it.
