I just Pickup a 1994 Trams Am LT1 I noticed that 6 valves are bad they are mushroomed and the rockers are chewing metal, So i need to rebuild the heads, they are 10125320 Heads, what i have been looking for is another engine take those heads rebuild them and then swap out the heads, I found some 12551561 heads kinda Cheap

My Question is what heads are better the 10125320 Heads or The 12551561 heads?

I remember reading that 10207643 or 10128374 heads are the castings you want for porting. I would be on the look out for those if you plan to have your heads ported when they are refurbished.

 

Really was not thinking of porting if anything a little touch up

 

If I were in your position, I would contact Lloyd Elliot and have him to his LE1 port job on your existing heads.

But that's just me.

Those are the iron heads by the look of it. You want the aluminum heads. 374 or 643 were the better castings. 561 were ok and will get the job done. But try to find some 374 or 643 especially if you want to do port work.
