So every time is rains my interior always gets wet. I just changed the cowl and now theres a big rust spot where the water is leaking in from. I don't want to go to a shop that charges me over $300 for something I can probably do at home. Do any of you guys have any suggestions on how to fix this?
& yes I know I need a paint job ASAP haha. That car has been sitting for awhile.
Easiest way would probably be to go to a pick & pull and cut out a bigger section of the area you need to fix, clean it up, cut out the bad section in your car and weld it and then body work it in. Unless you can fab up those bends with some 18 or 20 gauge steel and make your own panel.
definitely cut out the rust, its like cancer and will spread, you can fab a piece of metal to overlap that part and there is like superglue for attaching body pieces, probably have to get at a auto paint store, prime with a rust preventative paint and you should be good.
