Default Stock piston replacement opinion please!

Will these be alright for a replacement piston in my 1994 Z28? On a tight budget and these look pretty appealing as far as the price goes. Thanks in advance.

Used these in the past on other cars. Sealed Power makes some decent stuff. Much better than some of the cheap stuff out there.

So they would work well for a stock bottom end rebuild? Thanks!!

Yep should be no problem for a stock bottom end rebuild.

Hold on a minute. What is the dome/dish on the pistons? Ordering pistons without knowing how they affect your compression is the quickest way to one of two scenarios: performance that is less than you planned for, or having an engine that you will never be able to use to its full potential due to knock and pinging.

Also, what size rod are they made for? How big are the pistons? Are they stock, or stock rebuild with an overbore? If they are stock, are the rings sized for bores that have been honed? There's a ton of factors here, and you have provided no information other than a brand(which is a second rate one, at that) and a price. No part number, nothing of use.

Sorry, there wasn’t a part number listed on that ebay link. I just need a stock set of replacement pistons for my 1994 LT1. Not sure what my best option is. The engine is going to be completely stock aside from cam, roller rockers, and valvesprings. Thanks for any input.

I agree with 94TA.
Do a little digging on those first...not saying they may not be a good value or fit, just make sure.

Pistons aren't the kind of thing you just "toss 'er in." Do you have a link to the listing? The key aspects with pistons for a barebones rebuild would be their diameter, compression height, and their displacement, if not more factors. What are your plans for the engine? 100% stock refresh, just some new bearings and a hone with new rings? Or overbore?

Without these specs, we can't recommend any pistons. And if you're getting a new cam, you may be able to bump up your compression a small amount, which would go a long way towards adding some performance and drivability.

Speedpro worked well for me in a couple of "upgrade" street builds, I even have a set in my 4 cyl jeep..

Near as I remember ,, they have a standard part # that is same as stock just a better overall quality, then they
have a upgrade for each part number that raises the CR a tick..

I used them where I wanted a piston to take a more revs without being in the price class of a diamond or Wiseco.

FWIW my jeeps stock redline was 5500 the engine has many runs up to 6500 since its rebuild 75K ago and still going strong.
They also didn't require much to get them balanced they were within a few grams and had more than enough meat to get
them to a tight weight spec.

Good luck.

unless one, or more, of your current pistons is damaged you can re-use them assuming that your "rebuild" does not require a overbore of the cyl. Very common to do a .030 overbore on rebuilt engines so you buy a .030 larger size than stock

If you are just rebuilding a stock motor and the machine shop says you just need a cyl hone you can re-use your stock pistons with new rings that are slightly deeper to fit with the hone bore size than just re-use the stock ones. They are a very good, better than the speed pro, Mahle piston

Low $ and ebay are 2 red flags in buying parts....
