Default lt4 oem knock module

I saw one posted on ebay for 300ish and thought it was a joke, then I checked the sold listings and they are going for $300 plus!

I have one sitting as a spare, curious why the demand for these (they are obviously out of production), just seems inflated.

Supply vs demand is all. I paid $200 for one 2 years ago.

I have couple extras i pulled off from the junk yard for $15. Ive been thinking of selling them someday. I have seen the price go up insanely high over the years.

Seen some websites list as LT4 KM but with LT1 KM part number people need to double check before buying.

The LT4 KM was used in LT4 motors that came with RR. They dealt with the frequency "harmonics" of the RR so timing was not pulled due to PCM sensing knock from RR. The LT4 also went to composite valve covers to minimize the noise also

So most of us who do run RR got the LT4 KM. Back then it was a $27 part at dealership

Now that many LT1/4 parts are extinct….supply & demand dictates what they can sell for

The GM part # for the LT4 module is 16214681

The PCM can be tuned to lower knock perception....not the ideal way to deal with it though
