95 lt1 cold air intake I have a 1995 lt1 with a cold air intake already installed my question is can I add another filter to the bottom of the throttle body elbow its like a long tube just capped off on the bottom directly in front of motor. Or is this a bad idea? Would I need a tune if I did? I'm new to the lt1

The Donkey Dong you speak of is for noise reduction within the intake tract. Remove it and cap the opening or leave it in place, just dont leave it open because like mentioned above it's behind the MAF sensor and will horribly affect your vehicles driveability/tuning.
