Default IAT location?

Hi
I have recently purchased a 1989 C1500 pickup truck which has a LT1 from a 94-96 Caprice, Impala SS or other car (head casting number 10125320). I am trying to unravel the sensors as it is running an ECM from a different vehicle. I cant locate the IAT sensor as I was expecting to see it just before the throttle body. Is it located in the inlet manifold behind the MAP sensor? thanks

It is normally located between the MAF and the throttle body, but on a swap, it could possibly be anywhere in the intake air tract.

Move it out as far toward the filter as you can. We caught iat temps on my dad's Malibu and it's a 3mph gain from the extra timing not being pulled from heat

Thanks for the replies. I didn't mention I am in Australia and we don't see many LT1s but we do have plenty of LSs. I will have a closer look.
