Default Ebay headers fitment

In the process of installing ebay headers, XS Power to be exact. I know I'm taking a chance but they look solid. Anyways after installing the drivers side the collector angles up towards the body. The supplied Y pipe then in turn wont fit without bending to accommodate.

So my question is could this be a worn motor mount? Would the engine tilt forward causing this alignment issue? Just wanted some thoughts before I go ahead and bend the Y pipe to fit. TIA

That would be what I would suspect first. After a few nightmares in the past, I never install long tubes on my personal vehicles without doing poly motor mounts at the same time. It's a bit of a pain to open up the clamshells, but well worth it to avoid headaches.

Ok poly mounts on the way, may as well while I have it apart. Can't be much harder than seized control arm bushings.

You wont regret the Poly's Love mine, I noticed and immediate difference in my car. Wish I had done it sooner, and now since I don't drive my Comp T/A all that often (Maybe 5k/year) I wish I had gone with Solid Mounts. I love when I'm sitting at a stop light and my entire cars shaking at idle everyone around me looks at me like they think my cars going to explode...lol

Can I take a grinder to the k member and take a half inch off the lip that contacts the headers? I have seen how guy will cut and fold but can it just be ground down. Not sure how much metal is in that seem.

The supplied Y didnt line up proper so I ordered a pace setter Y which took a little loving to bolt right up to hooker catback. I'm happy with how it came together.
