Guess what the connector is?

Putting her back together and cant figure out this connector? 94 Lt1 Bird tia

Looks like the MAF sensor plug. The three connectors and purple rubber seal are giveaways.

That was my thought but this one has a bigger lamp with red brown black wires.

Except the MAF wiring doesn't come off the front body harness. That's for the AIR pump.

Which would make sense why I didnt recognize it since it isnt there. Car is new to me, will that through a code? I need to get a scanner and a mail order tune right quick.

I have a 1997 and pretty much anything will throw a code if not plugged in when using the factory program. Your 1994 may not be that sensitive if using the OBD1 but I can't be certain. I would want the smog pump since my car is a dedicated daily driver and I do care about emissions. I am not sure what plans you have for your car but certainly the car should be able to run without the smog pump.

Depends on how much you want to spend. I am on a budget so I purchased an economy NAPA scanner for OBDII cars. I have to google what the codes are that are stored, however they sell some really expensive scanners that give you that information as well as freeze frame information beyond the capabilities of the cheap scanner I bought. Just make sure that whatever you buy is an OBDI scanner. Maybe some of the other members can chime in on what scanners they use since these guys certainly know and can do more with their cars than I can with mine.

Won't throw a code as long as the fuse for it is in place, that's how we used to delete them. It doesn't care that the circuit isn't feeding power to a pump that isn't there, just that the circuit is powered.
