Alternator/ A/C mounting 1995 Pontiac trans am lt1 t56
I am trying to get this car put back together I thought the alternator bracket was broke but looking at other pictures I think the bracket is ok.
The alternator has two brackets on the back for support from what I can see comparing pictures I have the v bracket that runs from one Mount on the back of the alternator to another point leaving the v of the bracket to mount on the intake manifold bolt. I'm seeing a bracket that runs from maybe the 6:00 location on the bottom and runs maybe to a header bolt or something under the alternator I don't have this bracket or know what it mounts to.
Also the a/c compressor has been removed and a bypass pulley installed I want to put a/c back on my car and I'm guessing there was a bracket for the back of the compressor for support does anyone know where to get that bracket or have one or have a part number for both brackets with better pictures of the two in action.

It mounts to one of the exhaust bolts. Can't remember which one, however it is not necessary. I ditched it with my first set of shorty headers a hundred years ago and have no issues. The V-brace, however is very important for structural rigidity. I've seen people not use that and it ends up breaking the top bolt on the bracket (what you are referring to are alternator braces).
