Cowl plastic and weather stripping
Hello everyone,
I removed my hood, all the plastic around the windshield wiper connections at the cowl and also all the associated weather stripping at the cowl. I had to do this to get the engine back into the top of the car. Now I have a wonderful task of replacing all these pieces. Finding all the plastic pins/tabs in itself as a job. My real question is there is some sort of foam that's in between the plastic pieces, and the actual metal of the cowl. The rubber weather stripping would then sit on top of the plastic pieces. I don't know where all of the original foam is. I lost a few pieces and I don't know if I even had all of them on the car before taking this apart. Where do I buy the foam, or how do I seal the space between the plastic that fits around the windshield wiper motors/wipers, and the actual metal cowl of the car?
