Swapping an LT1 into a box B-body I am putting a carbed LT1 into a Box B-body wagon chassis that had an Olds 350(307 before that) and I am wondering will the LT1 motor mounts work with the frame clamshell mounts? And can I use them in the stock location or will I have to move them. The LT1 will be coming from a Cadillac limo so I will have all the parts i need.
The lt1 engine motor mounts will bolt on to the frame mounts, but due to your frame mounts being positioned for an OLDS engine, you’re going to have to relocate the frame mounts to the Chevy position, and then the pass side motor mount will need to be repositioned forward on the lt1 engine.
