Default Upgrade Balancer?

Guys,

Long time no chat as I haven't been on here in a long time. Quick question, I have a 383 95' with a pretty stout custom grind bumpy cam (230/236 108lsa) from Lloyd. The motor is an old build (1999) and rarely sees much driving as she only has 50K on the clock. I've been contemplating putting an ATI super dampener on there, but is it needed? The motor has been internally balanced and I've had the stock harmonic balancer/pulley on there for years with no issues. Just wandering if I should have gone this route when the motor was built?

Check the rubber material around the damper to see if it's cracked/missing pieces and such. Also, what RPM do you spin it to?

The rubber looked good and it's typically just a cruiser, but if I get on it (once and a while) I'll spin her to 6-6.5k ish.

If it's in good shape just keep it on there. I think the stock one is good to 6500, IIRC? And that's sustained for a given amount of time, so...
I bought one just a step above the stock one that was good to 7500rpm from Jegs, but can't find it there now. They have two that are $180 and $200, but I don't think I bought either of those. If you want peace of mind I'd purchase either of those two instead of an ATI. Much cheaper and they'll do you just fine.
