Default Tuner in Southern Ontario, Canada

Hey guys,

I have been looking around for a tuner for after I do the cam swap in my '94 Z28. I have been in touch with a few shops in Southern Ontario and they have all recommended a PCMforless tune. I'm not opposed to this but would prefer to have a dyno tune done. I spoke with Champion Motorsports in Scarborough but I live in Niagara Falls and am not too enthused about driving the car almost 2 hours without it running properly. Just wondering if anyone else in the area has any other recommendations or should I be alright to make the trip? Thanks guys

Cheers,
Matt

I'm kinda in the same boat here in Halifax. I did find someone who does alot of GM stuff, he said if I bring my laptop and software I can run on his dyno. It's not worth it for him to have the software to do 1 or 2 cars a year. That's likely the route I'll go.

What cam did you put in? I'm in Ontario aswell. I recently lost my tuner that has always done my lt1s. I had a friend have good luck with tuning his 95 trans am with a 355 h/c with BR Tuning in Ajax, Ontario. Worth contacting.

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't decided on a cam yet. I'm just looking for a fun weekend car so its a toss up between the Hot Cam or cc503

Check out lloyd Elliott hes got some awesome custom grinds that are similar in duration with more lift. His cams make more power and torque throughout the powerband. Worth the extra money for the hassle that it is to put a cam in one of these cars.

I ran his older 223/230 .565 112lsa cam which is his version of the cc503. Great power and torque. He will sell you a complete kit with matched parts.

You could try Wade at Maximum Motorsport in Vaughn ON....he installs and tunes, plus he’s very knowledgeable with LT1s
