Im BACK!!! For good this time. Got ANOTHER 96 TA this week. Sold my last because of babies, needing something "practical". ******* society. Now, oldest is 4, loves daddy going fast. Mom died, dad screwed sis and I out of inheritance. Then great uncle died, the awesome bastard left my mom quite a bit, and specifically stated for it to go to my sis and I if mom passed.
Anyways, honored momma with buying her favorite car. She came in to this world with nothing, and left with nothing. So, I had to get something for her with her money.
1996 Trans Am WS6 Six Speed. Will upload pictures later, only taken a few after getting it home.
Borla exhaust, all original except replacement parts. They fucked the install of new opti unit, broke coolant temp sensor, fuel pump sending unit, oil pressure sending unit, many other bugs.
Dash cap is gone, but rest of interior in rather good shape. Totally salvageable. Really excited about this one, only 4000$ too. Clean title, Ill be the third registered owner.
Anyways, Ill be posting up pictures tomorrow. Hopefully weather is good for a detail job. Been **** in Houston lately.

Thanks, but it happens. Im not upset about it, miss her and all that, but totally accepting of death and completion of life cycles.
She always loved the firebirds. Was hard deciding which one to get, because shes loved them all. But, talking with sister, she ultimately loved these 93-97s. I remember when the 98+ started rolling out commercials, she would comment on how obnoxious the new nostrils were, and how she liked the harder edges of the 93-97. She loved my old 96 too, so, got the next step up with this one.
Havent taken any good pictures. Trying to find someone to trade or buy my wheels. 2008 Vette wheels, and they dont sit right. 19s are way too big for these cars. But, thats really on the backburner.
First goals are getting her mechanically sound. Needs new mounts and bushings all around, tie rods, all the maintenance ****. Plus, want to put AC Delco or MSD opti unit or possibly convert to the coil packs. Not sure yet, love the LT1, kind of an LS hater too. Partial to the older 350 style, and to me, they sound much better.
Anyways, im excited. Lots of plans for this bad girl over the next few years.
Fix dash somehow, getting ideas for some custom stuff, but dont want to get too crazy. I like the original interior, just needs freshened up. But, the dash itself has a few cracks, and Im unaware of any reliable fixes for this kind of plastic/rubber ****.
Plus, I want custom mirrors. Always a big pet peeve of mine, the mirror design on these Fbodies.
Better looking and standing wheels.
