Default Injectors

I have a 97 z28 I have stock injectors in it. I have recently purchased 42lb injectors. I would like to install them but cant seem to get a straight answer on if I need programming to use them. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated

Absolutely you need the PCM programmed for the different flow rate. If you don't you can wash down the cylinders. Why 42lb injectors? If your stock ones are faulty you would be better suited to ship them to an injector shop for them to be serviced. Putting on those injectors on a stock engine will not benefit you at all.

Fully agree, this will cause only problems. The only reason you would need to upgrade injectors is if the engine is going to flow more air either via forced induction or cam/heads.

Yeah you're about 100rwhp away from needing to upgrade to even 30lb injectors. I have 42's on a N/A 396 making around 430rwhp and I could've easily gotten away with 36's. Reason I have these is because they are SVO green tops and got them for a hell of a deal.
