I've got a weird issue with my 1997 Trans-Am and I'm hoping someone has an idea.

It took me 2 years to get an engine in her during which time she sat around with a dead battery. Since putting the engine and a new battery in the head lights now pop up when the parking lights are turned on. This includes when I arm the alarm. It didn't do this before.

I presume this is a setting that got lost due to the dead battery. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Could be the plastic gears are stripped. Do you hear a banging noise when you turn them off?

 

Sounds like headlight motors going bad. I would either Replace them or R&R the gears. Also check the headlight module beneath the airbox.
