I am repinning a 96 b body lt1 harness to run the vortec computer. my other big question is the injector flow rates. i see the vortec has 23.1 lb injectors, and ive heard the lt1 has 24.87 lb injectors? think its worth changing in the tune, or should i wait till ive got the fuel trims recorded? going to tune the ve tables and maf for sure.
I'm really interested in reading more about this. Seems a lot cheaper than doing a full 411 swap.
With this you're running it off of a 411 so how is this not a "full" 411 swap?

Absolutely. EVERYTHING in the tune revolves around the injectors. It is literally the very first parameter you set when tuning a 411.

thanks for confirming that fast355. if the injector data is skewed, wont that throw off the calculated g/s airflow, hence throwing the ignition timing off?
I am playing with a p01 0411 computer. Isn't the black box different, because it uses map instead of calculated airflow for timing? plus the resolution on speed density tables is pretty bad compared to the newer p01, from what i see.
