Default Intake bolt threads stripped

Hey guys so I was taking my intake manifold off so I could build my top end I just recently bought the car and I get all my bolts loosened up and everything and I realized that I missed the 4 bolt back on the passenger side on the intake and I try to take it off and all it wants to do is spin any help tricks or anything would be greatly appreciated also Incase it matters it’s on a 97 z28

Depending on how stripped they are you can try and use an alligator grip socket, reverse socket or try and hammer on a smaller sized socket. Just FYI the bolt heads are 14mm or 9/16". Either will work. Torque spec is 35ft. lbs in three stages.

I do 10ft lbs for the 1st, 20 for the 2nd and 35 for the final pass.

OP

are you saying the bolt now spins or the head of the bolt is worn so a socket or wrench won't get a good bite?

if the former maybe someone used a heli-coil in the head that is now spinning...if that is the case you would need to cut the bolt head off and lift the intake off then pull that head to have a machine shop fix/replace the heli-coil...or get new heads

@****** Yes the head of the bolt is fine it’s the whole bolts just keeps spinning I was hoping somehow to get it off without cutting I just don’t want to mess up the intake

Try and jam a flat head screwdriver under the bolt head while you turn it out. May help.
