Makes you wonder how that junk ever rolls off the line in the first place.

Sorry you are having to deal with wasting your time and money on this product. At this point, a refund would be way more welcome than another replacement.

I sent back #1 today. SacCityCorvette talked AIP into sending #3 out now, rather than wait on it to arrive. I really appreciate that.

#2 is still on the car

I've got enough practice. But at this point, an AIP has as much of a chance at being a good one than any other and I don't have to buy another AIP. The only other option I see is send in my bad MSD for a rebuild and even those don't have a great track record lately.

O'Reilly's optis last longer than your last 2 AIPs have. This is my first impression of them and I'd sooner 411 swap than ever deal with the crap you're going through.

These days it may be better to go get a real AC Delco donor from junkyard car and send it to the ebay guy for rebuild...but certainly chance that a junkyard one could be bad also.

It does appear any brand of opti sold today is a complete crap shoot

Aye, I have one with 10k miles on it so far. The store manager did warn me they get a lot of returns on them...

I received #3 today. Way earlier than I expected. It seems SacCityCorvette put in some extra effort to make this right and overnighted it to me. I thought it was coming straight from AIP but the return address says SacCityCorvette. Kudos to them for going the extra mile and trying to make it right.

#3 looks exactly like #2 so I didn't bother taking new pics.

#3 was installed tonight. Unfortunately it started raining and I wasn't able to go for a test drive. I don't drive on drag radials in the rain.

So far so good. I'll take it for a drive tomorrow and let yall know how it turns out.

No tread on them? I always had great luck with Nittos as long as they had some tread left.

I hated those mother F'n OPTI's. One of the few reasons I don't miss the LT-1 so much!!!

Wasted my teenage years on that crap.

Took it for a drive to the gym and back. Running good so far. No codes, runs smooth.
