Who is doing Tuning
IS there any shops left that mess with the LT1/4 platform. I have a 96 LT4 and am considering Heads/Cam/Headers/Fuel Pump/Injectors. This will probably need a full dyno tune, but most of the shops in my area no longer support pre-LS. Located in Central Michigan. Would be willing to travel a reasonable distance.

Go Green.
Moe Bailey, and I believe Ed Wright, are still doing LTx tunes. I'm not sure if they Dyno tune, but I think they are both located in Texas, which is quite a haul from Lansing. Moe's forum handle is moehorsepower. I believe Ed's website is http://www.fastchip.com/

any reputable mail order tuner (BTC listed a couple) should be able to tune a heads/cam setup LT1/4
i will also vouch for Solomon tuning (lt1pcmtuning.com) he has my head/cam 383 running awesome

Already has a custom tune for how it sits now and runs flawless in all conditions. No stories, no "avoid doing this"... nervous about going to a mail order. Once the heads/Cam/Injectors are changed, there is no going back.
Got me a Solomon tune. Nothing special, delete some stuff, and his power tune. Haven't driven it yet as i just finished the headers, OTVC wires, and waiting on parts to do the Big 3 mod. But it runs, sounds good, gonna test drive it tomorrow hopefully. Dipstick tube was a major pain, broke the mounting tab, worried its gonna pop out. We'll see...
Have you considered an LS PCM conversion? You're at a point now where the tuning ability would make it worthwhile for you. A HCI and boosted LTX depending on the setup is well capable of 700whp numbers depending on the combo and the boost, intercooling, etc. Going as far as you are there's no way I wouldn't be going E85 is it's in your area or learn to make your own which is fairly simple I believe. Plus barrels of alcohol are fairly cheap in 54 gallon drums (yes 55 drum but you actually get 54 gallons). I've spoken with Moe myself and I know he's boost familiar and from what I recall from our brief conversation he has done some E85 tuning and felt comfortable with it. You're already planning a fuel system upgrade so why not go for it and run safer on E85? Just a thought...

Also note from my signature it has a ProCharger on it as well.

i am currently working on boosting my 383 with a 76mm turbo and am planning on sticking with a mail order tune and keeping it under 8lbs for now. then down the road when funds allow i want to go 24x then i can turn it up and get a proper dyno/street tune as Vicious is saying.
