Default Mufflex 3" to 4" Y pipe?

I have the hooker super comp long tubes, which is what the description says they fit, and want to run a single 4" Exhaust. The reviews seem to be minimal when I search for this particular Y pipe (Mufflex pt# LT1Y). It looks like a very nice piece. My main concern is ground clearance? Secondly where would be the best place to purchase it from? Thanks for any insight.

3" mandrel bent will support all you need. Not worth the work to try and shoehorn a 4" especially over the axle. JMHO

Being that I have (2) 3" collectors I feel like forcing both of them into a single 3" pipe would be restrictive. At what point would you need true duals or a single 4" as opposed to a single 3"? I should be about 500-550 to the wheels. I don't want my exhaust to be a restriction what so ever, But not exactly sure what a single 3" can support either.

Just because you have 3" collectors doesn't mean they are to capacity. Over the years there have been all kinds of cars well into the 10's w/ 3" mandrel bent exhaust. One well known secret is to make sure you have a quality merge in the y-pipe that joins the I-pipe.
I mean, you do you. Jason is a good dude and will do you right if you choose to go w/ a 4" system.

I have the 4 inch mufflex installed on my build and it has very good ground clearance. You will need to buy a panhard bar relocation kit for $130 so it can have the clearance to fit over the axle.
Other than buying that item, it fits great and without hassle. And it does sound very deep , i like it better than my 3 inch magnaflow catback.

Awesome, thank you for the pics! Do you have the mufflex 4" Y pipe? I was curious on the clearance for that piece.

I put 5500 miles on the mufflex y pipe with no clearance issues. I had pacesetter long tubes though. Never touched a speed bump .

Some don't need a new panhard bar to account for the 4" exhaust. I'm not sure why but I'm one of them and lowered.

SRZ, do you have the mufflex 4 inch catback? That is amazing if you got that to fit over the stock panhard bar. My mufflex piping only cleared the relocated upper panhard by less than a cm. Every car is different apparently.

I do with flow master 40 series race muffler on it. Yeah all cars are different somehow coming off the same assembly line. Lol How? Unsure but it happens!

I'm running the Mufflex 3.5" kit. I have the BMR panhard in stock location and the over axle pipe barely clears. At least on mine I can't imagine a 4" fitting without the panhard relocation bracket.

I ended up ordering a Hooker aerochamber cat back. Then decided on building my own Y pipe with 3" mandrel bends to a flow master 3-4 merge with a 4" cut out. Then back down to 3" to connect to the hooker system. I have terrible luck with things fitting like they are supposed to. that and Mufflex dont respond to Emails or answer questions.

Heres the home made Y pipe to 3" Hooker aerochamber cat back. The 4" QTP cut out tucks pretty nice in the void behind the passenger rear seat. Overall ground clearance is awesome. The cut out is the only part that hangs down almost as far as the BMR crossmember and I might be able to tuck it up a little bit more. The rest tucked way up tight. I'll get some better pics after its fully welded and I can get it outside in the light. I am very happy with the way it turned out. It was not a difficult project at all if you have some basic shop tools.
