Running with no drive shaft?

I'm looking to run the engine (94 TA 6Ssp) to get up to operating temp and circulate all fluids as I have drained everything for maintenance. Since I still have the driveshaft out and the t56 hasn't been topped up can I just run the motor without issue or will I spray fluid out the tailshaft? Does the trans need to be topped with fluid if i don't intend to even put it in gear ? TIA

I hope so, lol, just finished the m6 swap and wanting to run the motor before putting to be for the winter. Not that familiar with it and wondering if it is OK to run without a driveshaft?

Cover the tail shaft so gear oil does not leak out. Tail shaft will not turn if in neutral or clutch disengaged - pedal pushed in.

Will not be a problem.
