Default Accessory Bracket

Hey all I was wondering if I could get some opinions on a current problem, you can probably tell by the title but my accessory bracket stripped out where my PS pump mounts up to. Has anyone experienced this problem before, and what are some opinions on the best and or easiest fix? is there a more reliable fix? should I replace the entire bracket or would it be easier to Helicoil it? Its on a 95 Z28 Camaro. Thanks.

Long ago I did the same thing and bought a new bracket. However, I did fix my old one with a helicoil a few years later. I think helicoiling will do just fine. Just remember to torque the bolts to the proper spec with a torque wrench in the future to avoid stripping it again.

Pretty sure I have a bracket for sale, but the better and cheaper solution is to helicoil the one you have already. The helicoil will be stronger and far less likely to strip again in the future as well as being cheaper.
