Default Urgent help!!

Car is blowing out blue smoke assuming burning oil after in the midst of dealing with a misfire. Smoke is bad. Filling up the car and it’s happening all the time. And it’s getting worse. Not sure if the misfire is related to eatchother. Not sure if a misfire would cause to completely blow out oil rings.

it’s the only car I drive and my credit is crap so I’m kind of limited to options.

any help would be grateful.

I don't think you're gonna like any of the causes of this. My first thought is either a hole in a piston or a valve seal that has been completely destroyed

From the simplest- Did you overfill the crankcase? If not somehow oil is infiltrating one or more cylinders that can be either from the top or bottom. Top you could have bad valve seals perhaps from bad valve guides. Usually that only presents when the car sees vacuum (deceleration) or first startup. From the bottom you could have bad rings, broken piston or damage to the block that affects the cylinder wall(s). Only way to find out what's going on is to either take it apart or do a leak down.

would gas (due to misfire assuming injectors are fine) cause the oil level to be too much? Oil level seems top of mark where it usually rests.

I wouldn't imagine so. The blue smoke is from oil so if gas is getting in the oil and oil is burning off you would still have 'gassy oil'. Sorry, it's the best way I can put it. If you think that's the case change the oil.

My guess is same as the others. Something internal is broken or damaged to where catastrophic failure is imminent.

If the car is burning enough oil to foul the plugs it would explain your misfire. It's more likely the symptom than the cause.

What’s the likelihood of a burnt exhaust valve? On my way to compression check, picked one up at autozone and fearful of cylinder 8 because of it being being a PITA for anything.

I would just look for oil leaks. On exhaust mainly

That's the simplest and cheapest thing to check first.

Also smell your dipstick and see if it smells like gas.

Did you do any work to the car no matter how seemingly small it may seem to you?

If everything checks out I'd guess valve seals.

Unfortunately a compression tester won't answer that question for you, but will tell you which cylinder(s) are troubled. You should not start or drive the car until you get this figured out and fixed. The more you run it the greater possibility of it costing you more to fix.
