Default Need help on my lt1

I spent a lot of money on my motor being built

When I went to the tuner. He couldnt get it to start
till he advanced it to 180 degrees timing and it fired right up...

Does anyone have pictures of how the timing is suppose to be on here and could camshaft be installed wrong??

Your optispark is probably installed off time.

180* out from #1 TDC/ firing is #6 TDC/ firing. So yes, sounds like cam signal is 180* out. Not sure if/ how this can be rectified with logic or sensor repositioning along with engine rotation on the 24x/ 411 setups. Pistons are in the same place at either #1 or #6 firing, the ignition logic is what makes the difference. If it was a Gen I SBC, the distributor would be pointing at #1 while the cam gears would be at 6 & 12 instead of 12 & 12.

I looked at the setup on the Torqhead site. I think all you need to do is bring the motor to #1 TDC, pull the splined or pin drive sensor plate off, rotate the crank 360* and reinstall the sensor plate.

Did you ever get it going? I had issues with my Tune settings and then it ran. I had done a 411 PCM conversion. Took me days to figure it out.

I wonder if the pcm has anything to do with the Torqhead setup?

The cam gear gets installed the same way regardless of fuel delivery.

That picture needs the crank gear dot to be of any value.
