Default 383 strocker

Hey Guys,
Where can I get some info on strocker motors? My 96 camaro has a LT4 M6 and I’d like to do some research on one day making it a strocker (smog legal). I’d like to do some research on what needs to be done to the block, heads and ecu. Any information you can point me to is welcome

Stroker**

Also you just need a different crank and boom goes the dynamite you have a stroker.

Just go onto Texas Speed and you will see what stroker kits they have and what is in your price range.

You are going to need a tune for your ECU.

For your block just a different crank.

Heads you don't need anything done.

First order of business is don’t listen to anything the previous poster told you. Your best bet is to start talking to machine shops in your area. If you are anywhere near the MD, VA, PA or evern anywhere around the eastern seaboard a great machine shop is Burtonsville Performance and Machine located in Maryland. They have done many LT1’s in the last 20 years. Texas speed does not do anything with GenII SBC LT1 engines.

Didn’t even see LT4 lol I am retarded yeah ignore all that. I was too fazed by the fact you said strocker like 6 different times

I ordered my stroker kit from lunati, came with all forged internals. It was originally intended for a SBC but if you call and order over the phone they can swap that out for a LT1 Crank.

This is the part number for the lunati kit I ordered

If I'm reading this correctly, with that kit the compression ratio will be 11:1 with 64cc combustion chambers. Stock LT1 heads are 54cc's.

In process of building one. To get at 10-11 compression with the stock heads you end up needing a dish/inverted dome type piston. Flat tops put you way up in the compression.

even porting stock heads, adding 10+ ccs to the chamber is very hard. LE Stage II specd out to 57ccs
